SMS Compliance
This page documents how end users and authorized business staff consent to receive non-marketing operational and informational SMS messages from Kliento. Kliento does not use this SMS program for marketing, promotional, coupon, discount, fundraising, advertising, or bulk messages.
This campaign does not use SMS keyword opt-in, paper form opt-in, mobile QR code opt-in, or public consumer web opt-in. Consent is collected only through the verbal call workflow and the authorized-staff onboarding form described below. In both methods consent is voluntary and optional: the onboarding consent checkbox is unchecked by default, and staff can decline SMS and still complete onboarding and use every Kliento service.
End users opt in verbally during an inbound phone call with a Kliento AI receptionist or staff member. SMS is offered only after the caller requests a specific follow-up, such as an event ticket link, help link, appointment or event information, message confirmation, lost-and-found follow-up, or support follow-up.
"I can text that to you. By agreeing, you consent to receive a non-marketing SMS from Kliento related to this request. Message frequency varies based on your requests. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Privacy Policy: https://thekliento.com/privacy-policy. Terms: https://thekliento.com/terms. Do I have your consent to send this text message?"
Caller: Can you text me the event ticket link?
Sarah: I can text that to you. By agreeing, you consent to receive
a non-marketing SMS from Kliento related to this request. Message frequency varies
based on your requests. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or
HELP for help. Privacy Policy: https://thekliento.com/privacy-policy. Terms:
https://thekliento.com/terms. Do I have your consent to send this text message?
Caller: Yes.
Sarah: Thank you. I will send the requested link by SMS.
Authorized business staff may opt in during onboarding to receive operational SMS notifications, such as caller message alerts, missed-call alerts, and call follow-up notifications. Staff are told that messages are operational, message frequency varies based on call activity, message and data rates may apply, and they can reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
The staff onboarding opt-in form below is the interface authorized business staff use to enroll. SMS enrollment is entirely optional. The consent checkbox is unchecked by default and must be actively selected by the staff member. Staff may skip SMS entirely — using the "Skip — continue without SMS" option — and still complete onboarding and use all Kliento services (operational alerts are then delivered by email instead). SMS consent is never bundled with Terms of Service acceptance, account creation, or any other required step, and consent is not a condition of any Kliento service.
Messages are generated by Kliento's AI receptionist and workflow automation system after a caller request, staff onboarding consent, or an operational workflow event. This is application-to-person business messaging, not personal or peer-to-peer messaging between individuals.
